The world needs another motorcycle-centric website

I was searching random domains on GoDaddy and saw that Baldrider.com was available. I had the $0.01, no hair and a couple bikes so I thought it was an obvious choice.

Well, what is a person to do now with a domain? Websites don’t magically create themselves. I had to learn how to set up email with the new domain and decide on a website-for-dummies hosting service. How do people make logos? What is Disqus and do I need it? Seems like a lot of work to commit to on a whim. It is still less annoying than when I decided to start taking banjo lessons last year.

And here we are. I’ve also signed up for Twitter (zero followers) and YouTube (zero uploads) where I also don’t know what I’m doing. We’re on the long road to internet domination from the backwoods town of obscurity.

My opinions may not be unique but what they lack in originality, they make up for in volume. Why do I have anxiety about going live with this site? I’ve been posting my opinions on the internet for 20 years but I’m the owner this time.

Will anyone visit? Will I get better at putting this site together ? There’s only one way to find out.
